A steering committee has been formed by the Higher Planning Council to carry out a feasibility study for the creation of a high technology park in Kuwait. This technopole is intended to:
- constitute an important reservoir of highly trained Kuwaiti human resources in various fields of S & T;
- facilitate technology transfer to local industries from both international and national S & T sources;
- develop a culture with distinct entrepreneurial traditions;
- maintain a well-established R & D infrastructure serving SMEs whose businesses depend on high technology.
