Qatar Science & Technology Park is a home for high-tech companies in Qatar. It is part of Qatar Foundation's Education City, a campus of schools, universities and research centres in Doha. The role of the science park is to link these academic institutes with industry, thereby growing Qatar's knowledge economy and creating opportunities for its highly-skilled graduates. To achieve this goal QSTP provides accommodation and services - on a non profit basis - to technology-related organizations from around the world.
Already EADS, ExxonMobil, Microsoft, Shell and Total have joined QSTP. Construction is underway and its first phase of multi-user buildings will open mid 2007.
